    Sep 09,  · Well, in my opinion, jazz (like many genres)-suffers from it's own popularity. While there is some amazing jazz, there is also god-awful jazz. Good and bad jazz are personal taste (I can't stand free jazz or smooth jazz, personally) but I would also say it has something to do with how ubiquitous it is.
